EDWORTHY PARK - DOUGLAS FIR TRAIL
NORTH WEST

OVERVIEW

The Edworthy Park Stairs are the most difficult to access stairs that we have logged. As you can tell from the banner image, if you are looking for a traditional up-down stair workout these are not worth the trouble. However, if you're looking to add a bit of stair-based spice to your trail-running experience these might be the set for you.

The Douglas Fir Trail is both beautiful and peaceful. Its out of the way character lets it provide a measure of what you would normally be driving out to the Rockies to experience.

GETTING THERE

Take Bow Trail to 45th Street (northbound), then turn left onto Spruce Drive SW. Turn right after you pass the church and follow the access road to Edworthy Park's parking lot.

The trailhead is on the far West side of the parking lot. Be careful not to keep following the access road onto private property. (There are a lot of no-access signs on the road, take the path to the left)

Suggested Parking:

Option 1
The simplest spot is the parking lot at the bottom of the trail.

Option 2
There are other access points for the Douglas Fir Trail with either parking lots or street parking available. These will dramatically increase your distance, but that's not always a drawback here.
