FIRST AVENUE STAIRS
NORTH EAST

OVERVIEW

The longest set in the Bridgeland Circuit, the top section of First Avenue Stairs is also the only set of wooden stairs.

These are a fairly strong set of stairs even by themselves, so if you're focusing your workout on a single set in the area First Ave should be your go-to.

(Good backup location if Curling Club is too crowded)

Bridgeland Circuit

The circuit is a series of (mostly) concrete stairs stretching across three blocks in Bridgeland (1st Ave to 3rd Ave). If you're training for a run with plenty of hills and varied footing these are the stairs for you. Their condition ranges from medium to poor so watch your step!

GETTING THERE

The central location of these stairs should provide easy access, but a series of one ways can complicate things if you are not familiar with the area.

Centre Street exiting onto Second Ave is straightforward if you aren't taking Memorial.

If you are taking Memorial Drive your best route is exiting onto Edmonton Trail North, turning left onto 8th Ave NE, then left again onto Second Street.

Suggested Parking:

Option 1
Street parking is plentiful. There are plenty of hills though so remember to use your parking brake!
